Edmilson To NY Redbulls

Rumors of biblical proportions have been spreading across the internet regarding the supposed third designated player, the NY MLS franchise will be signing.

Its a bird !!! its a plane!!!! no is Rafael Marquez!!!! Its a bird !!! its a plane!!!! no is Freddy Ljunberg!!!! , wrong  Eric Soler the General Manager of the NY ruled out any player currently plying their trade in MLS.
Solér wasn't positive the player would be available for next week’s exhibition New York Football Challenge tournament, and downplayed the potential signing’s availability. He did, however, give a slight hint about the possible target.
“The guy is not in MLS at the moment," Solér told MLSsoccer.com with a smirk. "But he is playing somewhere in the world.” mlssoccer.com
Rafael Marquez is not very well liked in America by American fans at least, add to that  he has received offers from top clubs in Europe including Juventus. Now go ahead and figure out where he'll be going this season.
According to good sources out of Europe that signing will be washed up Brazilian and former Barcelona middle man Edmilson. The central midfielder has been bouncing around ever since his exit from Barcelona in 2008. Making stops at storied clubs Villareal, Palmeiras of Brazil and recently at struggling Spanish Club Real Zaragoza.  Edmilson was a very strong holding midfielder manning that championship Barcelona team 3 years ago along with Deco and Andres Iniesta while Xavi struggled with injuries. The Brazilian has been capped multiple times for his national team winning the 2002 world playing along with famed stars Ronaldinho, Rivaldo and  the phenomenon Ronaldo . The verdict remains out as to if Edmilson can still play top level football; however MLS is another ball park. Though a physical league MLS is still a fairly young league that could prove to be a good place for Edmilson to find his Mojo back.
The traveling man is currently negotiating his way out of his contract with Real Zaragoza to join Henry in NY where they are trying to build a championship side.
